In addition to providing a SDK, we offer an API for seamless machine-to-machine interaction and direct downloading of the streams available within the Dunia mobile application. This API also includes a section dedicated to direct imagery exploitation and the ability to transform the streams into OGC compliant formats, such as GeoTIFFs.
The image below illustrates the interactive Dunia data stream for Sentinel data. Users can select a specific tile and access the data directly for visual interpretation. The time series data is presented in a format similar to a movie, with standard HTML widgets for easy navigation. Thanks to its optimization for low bandwidth, the system enables users to swiftly and conveniently access entire mission archives.
In addition, SatStreams offers often needed transformations of data within the clients’ web browser, such as
- Reprojections
- Resampling
- Shifting of data
Please be aware that within all Dunia low bandwidth data streams, the links to the original datasets are encoded within the metadata section of the stream. Consequently, users have the ability to consistently access the original data directly from within the Dunia platform.
