We've handpicked datasets that strike the perfect balance between being concise and flexible, and here you can explore and visualize those datasets, gaining valuable insights into Africa and serving as an ideal starting point for your journey.
¶ Using the browser
¶ Visualising a dataset
If the datasets dialog isn't already shown, open it by clicking or tapping on the Datasets button in the top right of the map browser:
A dialogue will open, showing which datasets are available for visualisation in the browser. Select a dataset for visualisation, by clicking or tapping on the eye icon next to the name of the dataset. The browser map will be updated as the dataset loads.
¶ Changing the basemap
If the basemap dialog isn't already shown, open it by clicking or tapping on the Basemaps button in the top right of the map browser:
A dialogue will open, showing which basemaps are available for the browser. Select a basemap by clicking or tapping on it the dialogue. The browser map will be updated as the new basemap loads.
